A man died in a hit and run Saturday night on the East Freeway. Shortly after 10 p.m., he was crossing the main lanes of Interstate 10 near Waco in the Fifth Ward when he was hit by a Toyota truck, according to Houston Police Department. He was declared dead at the scene.
