Shortly before 2 a.m., Micah Jason Qarles was going southeast on Grant Road on a Harley Davidson motorcycle when Nicholas Stumpf, driving an oncoming Toyota Echo, turned left onto Quail Forest Drive, according to a Harris County Sheriff's Office press release. Because Stumpf did not yield the right of way as he turned, Quarles' motorcycle slammed into the right side of the car.
