American Energy Partners affiliate qualifies for millions in job creation incentives from state

By Brianna Bailey, Business WriterAn affiliate of Aubrey McClendon’s America Energy Partners LP has qualified for up to $26.7 million in job creation payments over the next 10 years from Oklahoma through the state’s Quality Jobs Program. Through the economic development program, American Energy Management Services LLC can reap quarterly cash payments from the state for creating up to 525 new jobs over 10 years. According to information released Tuesday by the Oklahoma Department of Commerce, American Energy Management Services is a “full-service administration management consulting firm that provides clients with expertise in the area of exploration and production for both oil and gas plays throughout the United States.” The company is indirectly owned by McClendon and wife Kathleen McClendon, according to regulatory filings. American Energy Partners has been on a hiring spree in Oklahoma City, and told The Oklahoman that it had 425 employees in July. The energy company had more than 100 job openings in Oklahoma listed on its website on Tuesday. Read more on NewsOK.com
