The Scribbler is the sort of movie I’d fantasize about as a teenage goth, much in the same vein as Donnie Darko; it’s got a lot of pseudo-intellectual ideas dressed up as profound philosophies but as you get older you realize it ultimately never really says anything of note. One might find it appealing if they’re simply too young to know any better, but an experienced adult that has even the slightest understanding of theme or storytelling will find The Scribbler just as unbalanced as its main character. The Scribbler stars Katie Cassidy as Suki, a basket case with multiple personalities that’s found herself back in the real world… in a manner of speaking.
