Almost two years since the announcement of Happy Valley -- the story of Penn State coach Joe Paterno and his covering up of defensive coordinator Jerry Sandusky's pedophilia -- the TV movie has yet to happen. Well, HBO has now provided us with an explanation for the delay. According to Deadline, the Al Pacino-led and Brian De Palma-directed Happy Valley has been put on hold in its pre-production stage due to issues with the budget and some additional script work. “We have suspended pre-production for a moment to deal with budget issues," says an HBO rep, "but the project is still intact at HBO with the entire creative team as before.” Continue reading…
