PORTSMOUTH, Ohio (AP) — Part of a highway in southern Ohio is being renamed for Scioto (sy-OH'-tuh) County native Branch Rickey, the baseball executive who signed Jackie Robinson to break the color line. Legislation was sponsored by state Rep. Terry Johnson of McDermott, who says residents in the area should be proud of Rickey's legacy.
