Comment on Volunteer: Opportunities available in Houston-area libraries

Count on a good time as a volunteer participating in a patron census count at a county library about 2 miles northwest of Bush Intercontinental Airport on Oct. 13-18. On selected Saturdays, volunteers take on any of the following activities: pick up trash, plant trees, clear paths, remove invasive plants and related tasks. 1 Be a literacy tutor at a grassroots adult education program in Houston's Fifth Ward. 1 Participate in bingo games with residents of an assisted living facility in Sugar Land.
