Debuting Wednesday night, CBS' new procedural Stalker, from stab-meister Kevin Williamson (Scream, The Following), comes with a lot of critical pre-resentment, much like Williamson's series The Following did - Taken to task, before its premiere, for its depictions of violence. Critiques that will essentially die down, as they did with The Following, once everyone realizes that too much time and energy is being spent haranguing a middle-of-the-road TV series - one far from ever being considered part of this "Golden Age of Television." Stalker, in a sense, will just be on TV.
