A St. Johns man was seriously injured Wednesday when he fell asleep at the wheel and crashed his car at Race Track Road at Quail Run Way in St. Johns County. Joseph McAnarney, 68, was driving west in the left lane of Race Track Road about 6 p.m. when his 2010 Honda Civic started to drift to the left, according to the Sheriff’s Office. The Honda hit a curb and tree, becoming airborne.
