Comment on Annie's List fetes 3 Texas women

Honorees were three-term Houston Mayor Annise Parker, civil rights advocate Dolores Huerta, and state Sen. Leticia Van de Putte of San Antonio, her party's candidate for lieutenant governor opposing Republican Dan Patrick. On its website, Annie's List, with a slogan of “Changing the face of power,” cites several achievements in the past decade: “22 women elected statewide, $3.3 million in direct contributions, 2,500 women trained statewide, 75 campaign managers trained.”
