City Attorney David Feldman said he will try to meet with the responsible parties before pursuing legal action, as he has in several other similar cases over the last few years. Mayor Annise Parker's administration has made a habit of pursuing those who illegally remove trees on public land or public right of way, recovering $750,000 for the city in four cases.
