Carla Hinton[img url=http://blog.newsok.com/dittocontent/uploads/sites/31/2014/10/cannedgoods.jpg]3471911[/img] TULSA — It’s Halloween and numerous Oral Roberts University students have already decided they will “treat” instead of “trick.” Turns out, they are treating the homeless as part of ORU Outreach’s fall outreach event. Instead of the usual trick-or-treating for candy, students plan to go door-to-door to collect canned goods to feed the homeless. All the food items will be donated to Tulsa’s John 3:16 Mission and will be used to help serve more than 3,000 families during the upcoming Thanksgiving holiday. The students also are partnering with World Compassion to aid Iraqi regugees who have had to flee their homes due to the violence caused by the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL).Read more on NewsOK.com
