Ohio lawmaker convicted of campaign violations

COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) — A Cleveland state lawmaker has been convicted of two misdemeanor charges related to the purchase and re-sale of season Ohio State football tickets. Democratic state Rep. Sandra Williams, a candidate for state Senate, pleaded no contest Friday in Franklin County court to charges she converted campaign funds for personal use and attempted to falsify a related campaign finance report.
