Several local companies gave their chief executive officers more than they paid in federal income taxes last year, according to a new report. Of the 100 highest-paid top executives, 29 earned more than their companies paid, the Institute for Policy Studies and the Center for Effective Government reported. That’s up from 25 in previous reports, in 2010 and 2011.
