Sony Pictures gave in to demands today and pulled The Interview from theaters, after hackers threatened a 9-11-style attack on any theater showing the film. Despite the fact that the U.S. Department of Homeland Security released a statement stating there was no evidence of a terrorist plot against U.S. movie theaters that are screening The Interview, Sony gave theater owners the option to break contractual agreements and pull the film, most of which chose to do so.
