Comment on Man charged with Wilton killing is son of convicted murderer

Dana Craney, the 22-year-old Wilton man charged in connection with the murder of his grandmother on Saturday, is the son of a former Lewiston man who was convicted of murder. Dana A. Craney is currently serving a sentence in Maine State Prison, according to Timothy Feeley, a spokesman for the Office of the Maine Attorney General. Feeley said in an email Monday that the attorney general’s office believes the two Craney’s are related and that they are father and son. This story will be updated.
