Court records state she stabbed the boy with a knife and struck his head on the concrete. A family friend said Mungia, who recently returned to live with her parents in Houston from Alice, Texas, had struggled with postpartum psychosis since her son's birth. Mungia is in custody in the Harris County Jail's mental health unit.
