By jakob rodgers jakob.rodgers@gazette.com -A man was arrested Sunday evening after police suspect he fired a rifle while breaking up a possible drug deal outside his house. Damien Heitzer, 33, was booked into the El Paso County jail on suspicion of felony menacing, according to Colorado Springs police. Shortly after 8 p.m., officers suspect Heitzer tried to confront people who he thought were dealing drugs in vehicles parked outside his house in the 3600 block of Monica Drive West, according to police. An argument ensued, and Heitzer told police that he fired a round from his rifle into the ground when he saw another person reaching into his jacket, police said. The people in the vehicles fled and called police.
