Arguing that Ohio’s casinos and racinos have not lived up to their original promises on tax revenue, Sen. Bill Coley said it’s time to take away their nontaxable promotional gaming credits. The West Chester Republican said Ohio casino operators have fallen well short of their promise to generate more than $500 million per year for Ohio schools and local governments, and have failed to come close to delivering on the 34,000 promised new jobs.
