Bullet prompts partial evacuation, delays at Alaska airport

JUNEAU, Alaska (AP) — The Juneau, Alaska, airport was partially evacuated after a bullet was found on a passenger ramp before a flight. The unfired, .22-caliber bullet was found Tuesday morning, prompting the removal of passengers on two Alaska Airlines planes, one of which was bound for Seattle. A nearby departure lounge also was cleared temporarily, and police took the bullet into evidence. Airport manager Patty deLaBruere says the affected flights were delayed for about 90 minutes. Alaska Airlines Flight 61 was headed for Yakutat, Cordova and Anchorage.Read more on NewsOK.com
