Are Puget Sound residents eager to pony up $15 billion for light rail?

Sound Transit’s new light rail station, nearing completion beside the UW’s Husky Stadium, is a feast to the eye, months ahead of schedule and $150 million under budget:  The rail link to downtown Seattle is slated to open early in 2016. Gov. Jay Inslee tours Sound Transit’s almost-compete, under budget light rail station next to Husky Stadium.  The trains will be rolling early next year.  (Photo by Joshua Trujillo, SeattlePI.com) It is a counterexample to the stalled Bertha, the long-delayed tunnel project, and the costly, congested new “Mercer Street Mess.” Hence, the station was a strategic choice Friday for Gov.
