Tron 3 was in the planning stages well before Tron: Legacy hit theaters in 2010, but five years passed before the sequel moved forward. Everything started to come together quite quickly once it was announced, with director Joseph Kosinski set to return along with leads Garrett Hedlund and Olivia Wilde.
