We all know Joss Whedon is a fanboy. We also know that he once worked very hard to try and bring Wonder Woman to the big screen. While his WW fizzled out, and he would eventually become part of the global juggernaut that is Marvel Studios and its Cinematic Universe, Whedon still seems to be open to the idea of working with DC now that he's a free agent again.Avengers: Age of Ultron is the last film in Whedon's Marvel deal, and he's been saying that he wants to work on original projects for a while.
