The concept at least anyway. As a critique of the future of computer games (which we are still nowhere near in terms of tech) it's spot on. You know it will happen, one day, with people wanting more and more immersive experiences. The NPC issue in the movie is really nicely thought out with the specific plot points that need to met to progress.
Comment on Watched eXistenZ again the other day. This film was well ahead of it's time.
