UMKC men’s basketball coach Kareem Richardson has received a contract extension through 2020, adding two years to the deal he originally signed in 2013. The Kangaroos are coming off a second-place finish in the Western Athletic Conference, matching the best finish in the program’s 20 years of league play. In Richardson’s second season, UMKC finished 8-6 in the WAC and 14-19 overall, advancing to the semifinal round of the conference tournament.
