Every so often this morning, as the field of white crosses before him grew ever larger, Don Denton had to stop and take another look. As row upon row popped up under the steady tap tap tap of dozens of hammers, it became increasingly difficult to take in, this visual representation of all the American troops who have died in the modern wars in Iraq and Afghanistan.
