The Boston Public Library’s former longtime “keeper of prints” is blasting the “unprofessional” security protocols that led to the suspected theft of two treasured artworks.“There’s no excuse for this. This is a result of unprofessional behavior on behalf of the library and they should be criticized for it,” said Sinclair Hitchings, 81, who served as the library’s print curator from 1961 to 2005.
