While most kids are counting down the days to summer, low-income children are dreading the sound of the final bell, which signals hunger season is setting in. Across the U.S., 83 percent of 1,100 educators who were recently surveyed said they’re worried that their students won’t have enough to eat over summer break, according to No Kid Hungry.
