ORMOND BEACH — Shyvonkia Tomlinson and her 7-year-old daughter, Olivia, splashed in the newly expanded Volusia Flagler YMCA pool this week, relieved to have an oasis to escape the blazing summer heat.“We waited all summer for this. I love the (new) amenities,” Tomlinson said.After being closed since February, the Olympic-sized swimming pool at the Ormond Beach branch reopened July 17.
