Caitlyn Jenner shined a light on trans suicide rates in her latest blog post, which mostly focuses on Kyler Prescott, a 14-year-old transgender boy who committed suicide earlier this summer. Kyler will be familiar to those who watched the premiere of I Am Cait. "A recent study of nearly 100 transgender youth, ages 12 to 24, found that 51 percent reported thinking about suicide," Jenner wrote, "while 30 percent had attempted it at least once in their lives." She goes on to write that this is the reality for "far too many in the transgender community. "And it's not because trans people are somehow inherently unstable -- it's because we live in a world that makes it very, very difficult to be trans," she wrote.
