The Chatham Emergency Management Agency is reporting that one lane of U.S. Hwy 17 northbound between Quacco and Berwick has opened after a garbage truck fire closed down the highway earlier in the afternoon. Motorists are being advised to avoid the area and expect delays as cleanup crews work to clear the wreck.
