Feeling the drought: Lake Washington, Lake Union at lowest level in 28 years

The prolonged Northwest drought, due to be interrupted by a drenching this weekend, has pushed water levels at Lake Washington and Lake Union below the normal annual 20-foot mark for the first time in 28 years, with the Army Corps of Engineers forecasting another one-foot drop. Hard to notice that you’re driving a little lower across Lake Washington?  But you are.
