Jonathan Contreras, Orlando Cruz and Gonzalo Medina were sentenced Friday after pleading guilty to assault with an assault weapon on a peace officer and an allegation of furnishing a firearm. The other three men, all in their 20s, didn't fire any shots but prosecutors argued that they knew their companion was armed and had talked about killing police.
