PHOENIX - Going into Sunday, Sean Doolittle hadn’t pitched since Wednesday at Seattle, but the reliever said he’s getting plenty of work in. He warmed up twice on Saturday evening, the equivalent of a side session, and he’s continuing to hone everything as he comes back from a shoulder injury that cost him almost the entire season. “There have been a few times the situation hasn’t presented itself, but I’m getting reps off the mound that I need, and that’s been good,” he said. Doolittle, a 2014 All-Star, said his changeup is getting better and he’s getting more and more confidence in it, to the point it’s probably now his second best weapon after his fastball.
