FROM STAFF REPORTSMIDWEST CITY — Enrollment is up at Rose State College due to a 6.3 percent increase in first-time students compared with fall 2014, officials announced Tuesday. The total enrollment for the fall semester stands at 8,957, with 2,122 of those first-time students. Rose State still is accepting late enrollment, and officials expect to see a 1 percent increase overall from last year. Officials attributed the increase to a number of offerings at the college, including new student housing, men's and women's soccer, and leadership programs with nine scholarship opportunities for students. “The enrollment increase is a testament to the hard work and dedication of every faculty member and in particular our recruitment team,” President Jeanie Webb said in a news release.Read more on NewsOK.com
