Russia is clamping down on foreign internet companies

After briefly banning Wikipedia over a page related to drug use, new details have emerged from Bloomberg about the country's efforts to block foreign internet companies. Putin's regime appears to have no problem with the individual companies, just the content they host. Foreign companies, such as Twitter, Facebook, and Google, have all conducted meetings with the Kremlin in an attempt to make sense of a new law that gives the government more power to block websites it deems as inappropriate.
