Comment on St. Albans approves grant for shelter

By By George Hohmann For the Gazette-Mail St. Albans City Council has approved a resolution authorizing Mayor Dick Callaway to execute an agreement with the West Virginia Office of Economic Opportunity to continue an annual grant for the Roark-Sullivan (Twin Cities) shelter at 100 MacCorkle Ave.Barb Hughes, St. Albans' clerk-treasurer, said the annual grant is about $15,000.Also during the meeting Monday, council reappointed Neil Richardson to the Downtown Historic District Committee with a term to expire in October 2017 and Robert "Bob" Sutphin Jr.
