For some reason I can't stop thinking about Back to the Future after reading u/americanpegasus's story about time travel and alternate timelines. Except Back to the Future poses a different alternate-timeline issue: when Marty returns to present-day 1985 and finds a completely different present, what happened to the Marty from THAT timeline?
