Comment on "The Finest Hours" movie review: Film's strength is in story, not 3-D effects

Ryan Gosling and Emily Blunt, who star in the new movie The Fall Guy, unanimously agree that "stunts deserve an Oscar." Directed by David Leitch (a former stuntman), The Fall Guy is loosely based on the cult-classic '80s series of the same name. The film follows Colt Seavers (Gosling), an underappreciated stuntman who is tasked with tracking down the film's leading star, Tom Ryder (Aaron Taylor-Johnson), to save the shoot and impress his director, Jody Moreno (Emily Blunt).

Zack Snyder's latest sci-fi blockbuster, Rebel Moon – Part Two: The Scargiver, has shot to the top of Netflix's streaming charts, despite its record low Rotten Tomatoes score. The film is the second entry in Snyder's dark take on Star Wars and Seven Samurai, and fans hoped the new movie would redeem the poor reviews that littered the franchise's debut film.
