The Pantex Plant’s annual funding could see a 7 percent increase if a National Nuclear Security Administration proposal for fiscal year 2017 is approved. A White House budget proposal released Tuesday would bring Pantex’s annual funding to $707.7 million, a $46.3 million increase. The proposed increase is mainly for the maintenance and modification of the nation’s nuclear stockpile.
