Eight defendants charged with racketeering in what prosecutors dubbed a family-run stolen car-crushing scheme are asking a judge to throw out the evidence captured by the cameras. They contend the surveillance violated their privacy and amounts to an illegal search because police never got a warrant to put up the cameras.
