Sanchez was charged in a 17-count indictment in 2006 and was found guilty of four counts of indecency with a child by sexual contact and one count of aggravated sexual assault of a child, in another court. The Fourth Court of Appeals denied the appeal, ruling the testimony was admissible, but the Texas Court of Criminal Appeals reversed that decision in 2011 and sent the case back for retrial.
