Festus Ezeli makes big impact down the stretch in Game 2

(AP) — As his teammates wrapped up their practice day, Festus Ezeli worked some post moves with coach Theo Robertson and shot a few more hook shots from each side of the key, then a series of free throws as assistant coach Ron Adams observed. The Golden State center is making progress each day finding his rhythm again after all that time he missed recovering from arthroscopic left knee surgery. Ezeli played in only 46 regular-season games with 13 starts as the Warriors set the NBA record with 73 wins. [...] those 31 games I missed, I just couldn't wait to get back on the court, and mostly just because I wanted to be out there with my brothers. On Tuesday, his contribution was clutch as the Warriors had to rally back from an early 17-point deficit and trailed 87-76 going into the fourth for their largest deficit all playoffs heading into the final 12 minutes. Golden State leads the best-of-seven series 2-0. Ezeli never found a flow during the first-round series against the Rockets, which Golden State won in five games.
