The death toll from last week’s devastating floods in Sri Lanka was revealed to have risen to triple digits Tuesday, as receding waters laid bare the extent of the disaster’s damage. At least 101 people have been confirmed dead over the past week, the country’s Disaster Management Centre (DMC) was cited as reporting by Agence France-Presse. “Over 530 houses have been completely destroyed and another 4,000 partly damaged,” DMC spokesman Pradeep Kodippili told AFP.
