From Staff ReportsThe newest rescue truck in the American Humane Association's Red Star rescue fleet was dedicated last week in Oklahoma City. With major funding provided by the Kirkpatrick Foundation, the 50-foot-long animal rescue vehicle will be based at Oklahoma State University-Oklahoma City, where it will be ready for disaster deployment in Oklahoma and the Midwest, according to a news release. The American Humane Association is celebrating its 100th anniversary of rescuing animals from war, hurricanes, floods, wildfires and other disasters. The vehicle arrived Friday, the anniversary of the EF5 tornado that devastated the city of Moore in 2013.Read more on NewsOK.com
