Visitors occupied slightly fewer Hawaii hotel rooms last week when compared with the same week in 2015, according to the Hospitality Advisors LLC and STR weekly hotel report. Statewide occupancy dipped 1.3 percentage points during the week of May 15–21 to 81.1 percent, while the statewide average daily rate increased 1.6 percent to $228.15. On Oahu, occupancy fell 1 percentage point to 87.9 percent.
