Kathleen Kennedy Talks Mon Mothma’s Role in Rogue One When the teaser trailer for Rogue One: A Star Wars Story was released, one very familiar face was present for the film, Rebel Leader Mon Mothma. Set to be played by Genevieve O’Reilly, who previously played the character in Star Wars: Episode III Revenge of the Sith in a deleted scene, many thought the character would have just a cameo in the film, but Lucasfilm president and producer Kathleen Kennedy has revealed that she will have a ‘significantly larger’ role. “We actually see quite a bit of her,” Kennedy tells EW.
