Yet another book by J. K. Rowling appears to be getting a film adaptation, this time by way of her 2021 children’s tale, The Christmas Pig. Rowling is, of course, the author behind the wildly successful Harry Potter franchise, which has grossed billions of dollars across eight movies and several spin-offs.

Alex Garland's Civil War has broken three major records for the independent production company A24. Following a group of journalists who venture to Washington DC to interview the President amidst a raging civil war, the film boasts A24's largest budget to date, at $50 million.
