Karl Urban’s Doctor Leonard “Bones” McCoy has been a member of the onscreen Star Trek family ever since 2009 when director J.J. Abrams took the helm of the beloved franchise. But his status as a true Trek fan stretches back much further than that. Now, Star Trek Beyond -- the third film in the rebooted series -- has hit theaters, and while Abrams is gone from the director’s chair (replaced by Fast and the Furious vet Justin Lin), Urban is back once again.
