WILLCOX, Ariz. (AP) — A Willcox teenager is dead after being hit by a train. KOLD-TV in Tucson reports (http://bit.ly/2akHCPu) that the accident happened late Saturday near Railroad Park in downtown Willcox. Police say 15-year-old Mariah Contreras was part of a group "playing chicken" with the trains. Police Chief Jose Rios says the youths took turns getting close to an oncoming train and then jumping out of the way. Contreras was hit by an outer part of a train. Rios called her death a tragic loss. He says even standing near train tracks is dangerous because trains can pick up and fling debris. The teen would have been a freshman at Willcox High in the fall. Friends and family have already set up GoFundMe accounts.Read more on NewsOK.com
